Our goal was to analyze the functionality of climbing gears necessary for extreme mountain climate. It is important for the material to be cost effective, lightweight, feasible and most importantly rigid. With these qualities in mind, parts and drawings were modeled in Solidworks application and to examine the stresses and deformation, we used the analysis tools in Abaqus CAE.
